Interview : Meet Sylvio Vivier and Kylian Cherruet

What is your professional background?

Sylvio: I've got a BEP in sales, but what really helps me is my 11 years' experience in the restaurant trade. As far as sales is concerned, it's something I've been interested in since I was 14.

Kylian: I have a BTS in international trade. This is my first professional experience, even though I'd already done a few work placements during my training. What motivated me was my desire to get out into the world of work. I've always had a passion for customer relations from a very early age and I've always known that business was something that was ingrained in me!

 

What is your role within the company?

Sylvio: Within the company, I see myself as Aurélien's right-hand man. I like to support my colleagues who haven't been with the company as long as I have, but I also like to share my positivity with them. My main aim is to help the company grow along with my skills.

Kylian: I'm a business developer and I manage a portfolio. I look after my customers every day with passion. I like listening to them and establishing close relationships with them.

 

What is your greatest professional achievement?

Sylvio: For me, my greatest achievement is to have successfully reintegrated into the world of work. It was very complicated because I went from catering to trading during the Covid 19 pandemic. The company was able to support me, and now I'm one of the longest-serving members of the WD sales team.

Kylian: For me, the greatest achievement of my career at WD is having increased my customer portfolio by 50%. But I've also been able to build a relationship of trust with my customers that sometimes comes close to a friendly relationship.

 

What's your best moment at work?

Sylvio: My best moment was celebrating my 1 year seniority at WD this year. For me, it was a personal achievement given my unusual career path.

Kylian: For me there isn't 1 best moment but several. I really enjoyed my first few days because I got used to the company and it went really well. I also like the atmosphere in the sales team, where humour replaces stress and that influences our desire to excel.

 

What advice would you give to new recruits?

Sylvio: I'd tell them to never give up, whatever happens, even if the first few moments may seem difficult. Difficult, yes, but not insurmountable.  In my view, a sales person has to keep working on himself to adapt better to all kinds of situations. In my opinion, it's in adversity that you recognise the best salespeople.

Kylian: I'd entrust them with maintaining regular contact with their customers to establish a climate of trust and doing everything possible to maintain it. But also to give 100% to succeed, because it's worth it.

 

What are your plans for the future?

Sylvio: My goals for the future are to continue to develop my skills. I wouldn't mind being given a few more managerial assignments. Any final words?

 

Any final words?

Kylian: To conclude, I'd say that I'm proud of my customer relations, which are based on strong values such as respect, listening and trust. That's what drives me to improve day by day and I'd like to thank WD for allowing me to flourish in my work.
